The reuse of medical consumables is alien to RDC as we adopt a multi-layer infection control policy, which accounts for the high clinical outcomes but as part of our Eco-friendly Policy; RDC’s recycles her general household waste component and non-risk waste. Achievements (last 12 months): Completing the Stanford Graduate School of Business SEED transformation program, which has ensured our entire management team and workforce, is equipped with the knowledge and know how to meet the challenges of a 21st century Dialysis Business and service provider. We opened an additional Centre in Lagos due to the population size of Lagos, which is currently over 20 million people to increase access to quality care for patients. Our commitment to excellence in service delivery saw us receive many awards and recognitions in the last 12 months notably • Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award for “Dialysis service Provider of the year” • Africa Quality Achievement Awards for “Best Dialysis Service Provider 2019” • South West Nigeria Health Awards for “Outstanding Dialysis Centre of the Year” • African Brand Leadership Merit Award for “Leading Dialysis Service Provider of the year 2019” We have acquired the latest technology water treatment system which is one of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa and Dialysis Machines to ensure we avail our patients whom we call clients the advantages of technology. World Kidney Day 2019 The World Kidney Day is a global celebration observed once in a year, usually in March. Renal Dialysis Center marked this year’s event with a massive road show and health walk to raise awareness of the menace of kidney disease. We had celebrities across various sectors participate in the walk and awareness campaign. RDC offered free health screening and counseling to about 2000 persons in a popular market with an estimate of 7,000 visitors and vendors daily. Patients already on dialysis were not left out as we provided subsidized sessions and in some cases free sessions to indigent persons. RDC’s Expansion As part of our transformation plan and partnership model we aim at having at least one dialysis center in each of the 774 local governments in Nigeria within the Next 10-15 years in line with mission of providing access to quality dialysis service. We will be establishing a transplant Centre to ensure we avail our clients the full range of treatment options as well as an academy for training Dialysis technicians and support staff. DR. JOHN OKOH CEO of Renal Dialysis Centre ABOUT DR. JOHN OKOH Dr John is the founder and CEO of Renal Dialysis Centre, an outpatient dialysis chain with the widest coverage in Nigeria. He is an astute physician manager whose understanding of the healthcare environment from the physician perspective is a valuable resource in the management and strengthening of health systems. He has over 15years experience in clinical care, managed heath care and health systems having worked in both the public and private sectors giving him first hand knowledge of the challenges within the healthcare industry. Dr John has expertise in providing technical assistance and capacity building in the design, implementation and assessment of health care programs and services. His achievements range from ensuring functional Monitoring and Evaluation systems at government and non-government levels to utilization protocols that ensure provision of appropriate and cost effective healthcare services. He has a Masters in Healthcare Administration and postgraduate degree in Global health policy. Dr John is an entrepreneur who is result oriented with demonstrable success in start up operations.
