Beginning his career in orthodontics at the early age of 13, Dr. Bergh has transformed the lives of thousands of patients who now enjoy beautiful and healthy smiles. Several of Dr. Bergh’s patients have also become dentists and hygienists, stating their experience with Bergh Orthodontics and their own smile transformations as the reasons why they chose dentistry as their careers. Dr. Bergh has been an early adopter of advanced technology in the orthodontic field. Computerizing the office in the early 1990’s, his office began its journey to be on the cutting edge of technology. The first orthodontist in Glendale to become a certified Invisalign Provider, he continued the commitment to enhancing the care and treatment of his patients through digital technology. In 2006, digital x-rays were added reducing the radiation exposure to patients by over 70%. Digital impression capability was added to the office in 2011, making his orthodontic office one of the first in the United States to provide this highly accurate and patient-friendly technology. 2018 brought the addition of digital model printing into the office providing a highly accurate and lab-friendly method of creating patient models for orthodontic treatment planning and appliance fabrication. Dr. Bergh has spoken to both dental and consumer groups across the country about how a healthy smile can transform your life. One of the core values of Bergh Orthodontics is to give back to the community. Dr. Bergh has treated hundreds of children through Glendale Healthy Kids, a local non-profit organization whose mission was to improve the health and well-being of children of underinsured, low income families. His office now provides treatment to needy children through the national Smiles Change Lives program and is the leading provider of pro-bono care in the area through this program. He has served as president of the USC Orthodontic Alumni Association, the Glendale Academy of Dentists, Glendale Healthy Kids and the Rotary Club of Glendale. The Rotary Club’s signature annual fundraiser, Jewel City Fun and Fitness Ride, inaugural event started during Dr. Bergh’s presidency and raised over $150,000 to support local organizations focused on benefitting the lives of children in the local community. Bergh Orthodontics has been recognized as Glendale’s Best Orthodontist nine times by the Glendale Newspress, Crescenta Valley’s Finest Orthodontist five times, and elected into LA Magazine’s Super Dentists for the past four years. Bergh Orthodontics has also been recognized as The Best Orthodontic Practice–California in 2016 and 2017 by BoardRoom Elite. Dr. Bergh is the two-time best-selling author of the books Healthy Input and Transform. He has also written The Gift of a Smile – A Parent’s Guide to Orthodontic Care that helps parents navigate through the benefits of and decisions required when choosing an orthodontist for their child or themselves. Dr. Bergh also touches on social shaming, bullying and the recent increase in teen suicide. His latest book, Clear Aligners – The New Orthodontic Frontier, focuses on the benefits of clear aligner orthodontic treatment, including increased esthetic braces, better comfort and better oral hygiene. Dr. Bergh is an early adopter of the Invisalign Clear aligner system, treating over 2500 patients with clear aligners since 2000. He is currently a Top 1% Invisalign Provider at the Diamond level. Dr. Bergh has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox television. He has also been seen in USA Today, LA Magazine and Los Angeles Daily News.
