Neuhoff is a Specialist Family Physician and Occupational Health Consultant, in full-time practice at 57 Kruger Street, Petersfield, Springs, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng, South Africa. Education • He obtained the degrees MB,Ch.B; MPrax. Med and D.O.H at the University of Pretoria. • He also obtained a Certificate in Medicine and Law at the University of South Africa. • He acted as Medico-legal advisor for the Medical Defense Union. Experience • Dr. Neuhoff has a been Medical Doctor and Specialist Family Physician in private practice since qualifying to present. • He acts as Occupational Health Medical Consultant for various companies and acts as Medical Director of the East Rand Occupational Health Surveillance (EROS). • Dr. Neuhoff is a member of the Bonitas Clinical Coordination Committee of Medscheme as well as a Member of the South African Society of Occupational Medicine (SASOM) as well as the South AfricanMedical Association ( SAMA). Achievements Dr. Wessel J.W. Neuhoff is the long-standing Chairperson of the Eastern Gauteng Independent Practitioners Association, that is a founding member of the Alliance of South African Independent Practitioners Associations (ASAIPA). Established in 2005, ASAIPA’s mission is to be an independent practitioners’ alliance, acting as a body of professional union, protecting the interests of independent practitioners, and guiding the profession in the South African medical landscape, while always supporting quality and cost-effective patient healthcare outcomes. ASAIPA’s vision is to represent the interests of its members, on all important and relevant forums, guiding the members with statutory and ethical requirements, and engaging with the funders/patients to ensure quality and effective healthcare. Prax.Med, M.Fam.Med and similar qualifications to register as specialist family physicians. The action was successful and specialist family physicians like Dr. Neuhoff registered with the HPCSA in the window period provided. Dr. Neuhoff works tirelessly for recognition of the specialist family physician by the medical aid industry in South Africa to be allowed to practice specialist family medicine and to be fairly remunerated for doing so. In South Africa specialist family physicians are recognized and accordingly fairly in the state sector but not in private practice.
